🥘 Ingredients

  • 3 pieces of dry qursan bread (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp Fork & Spoon vegetable ghee
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (zucchini, eggplant, carrots)
  • 300 g meat or chicken
  • 4 cups hot broth
  • Salt to taste

🌶️ Spices

  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp mixed spices
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • 1 cinnamon stick

👩🏻‍🍳 Preparation Steps

  1. Heat Fork & Spoon vegetable ghee in a wide pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion until softened, then add the meat or chicken and sauté until browned.
  3. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and spices, and cook until flavors combine.
  4. Add the broth and vegetables, and let them cook thoroughly.
  5. Break the qursan bread into the serving dish, then gradually pour the broth and vegetables over it until fully absorbed.
  6. Add an extra spoon of Fork & Spoon ghee on top before serving.
Tip: For an authentic heritage flavor, use natural meat broth with hot ghee when serving.
