🥘 Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp starch
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp Fork & Spoon vegetable ghee
  • For frying: vegetable oil
  • For serving: syrup or Fork & Spoon ghee

👩🏻‍🍳 Preparation Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, starch, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add water gradually along with Fork & Spoon vegetable ghee until you get a soft and cohesive dough.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 45 minutes until it doubles in size.
  4. Heat the oil well, then shape small balls using a spoon or piping bag and fry until golden.
  5. Place them on paper towels, then drizzle with syrup or serve with hot Fork & Spoon ghee.
Tip: For perfect crispiness, you can fry the luqaimat in two batches — the first for partial cooking and the second for browning.
